I am now cruising on kernel 6.8.1 and it is vary, vary nise.

Most importantly, check this paranoiacs:

# grep . /sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/*
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/gather_data_sampling:Vulnerable: No microcode
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/itlb_multihit:Processor vulnerable
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/l1tf:Not affected
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/mds:Not affected
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/meltdown:Not affected
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/mmio_stale_data:Vulnerable
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/reg_file_data_sampling:Not affected
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/retbleed:Vulnerable
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/spec_rstack_overflow:Not affected
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/spec_store_bypass:Vulnerable
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/spectre_v1:Vulnerable: __user pointer sanitization and user
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/spectre_v2:Vulnerable, IBPB: disabled, STIBP: disabled, PBR
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/srbds:Not affected
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/tsx_async_abort:Vulnerable

My system is HIGHLY VULNERABLE to attack, but, consequently, it is not
saddled with performance-degrading bullshit, quite unlike the average distro kernel.

Also, a new nvidia module. Check out the performance with glxgears, full screen
at 2560x1440 resolution, with an "old" video card:

37062 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7412.308 FPS
37061 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7412.104 FPS
37065 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7412.942 FPS
37086 frames in 5.0 seconds = 7417.100 FPS

Holy fucking moley! That is awesome performance!

Gentoo takes very good care of me. Whilst I took a shit, shower, and shave
it automagically downloaded, configured, and installed, according to my strict
specifications, the following packages:

ensurepip-setuptools
libx86
app-arch/xz-utils
elt-patches
vala-common
getuto
expat
tcl
iceauth
potrace
debianutils
nghttp2
openjpeg
libxcrypt
netpbm
openssh
dev-ruby/minitest
dev-ruby/rbs
dev-ruby/reline
app-text/a2ps
libXaw
wxmaxima
pydantic
dev-python/packaging
dev-python/zipp
dev-python/wheel
dev-python/setuptools
meson
dev-python/markdown
pyopenssl
x11-libs/pango
librsvg
zenity
dev-lang/tk
geeqie
mesa

Distro lackeys eat yout fucking hearts out.

If you ain't using Gentoo then you are already in your grave.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

Gentoo is a distro, Mr. "distro lackey". :/

But seriously: what version of gcc did you use to build it?

Also: when are you going to build pan from the git source,
Mr. distro-weenie? :-D

I can't believe that's even worth debating.

Amendment XIV
Section 1.

[...] No state shall make or enforce any law which shall
abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the

Dobbs rewrites this, it is invalid precedent. States are
liable for denying needed abortions, e.g. TX.

As I have indicated many times before, Gentoo Portage
can be used by anyone, anytime, and anywhere that is
totally independent of a Gentoo "distro."

At first, like most GNU/Linux users, I was dependent
on a distro. But over time I have learned how to
build my own distro, thanks to Linux From Scratch (LFS)
and other sources.

Since LFS has poor automated build functionality, I use
Gentoo Portage.

That's the incredible strength of FOSS. One can
mix and match -- if one knows what the fuck they
are doing.

That excludes YOU. YOU are a true distro lackey
that is totally incapable of doing anything independently.

>

GCC versions are totally irrelevant. The only exception
is that external kernel modules, e.g. nvidia, need
to be compiled with the same GCC major version (I think)
as the kernel.

So what? apt, apt-get, snap, distrobox, nix, pacman can be used by any
distro. It doesn't mean debian, ubuntu, nixos, fedora or archlinux
aren't distros.

Not only at first.

Your videos don't support your claim.

Yes, FOSS strength, not your strength.

And you.

Like you.

From what you show, you are incapable of doing anything even with the
help of your distro.

Why do you use nvidia? It's not FOSS.
