Maybe in your 1990 Toyota Camry, but modern cars often
have software that can be updated, both for the engine
control module as well as the navigation system.

Indeed, our Subaru Ascent's nav system has a section
in the menus for reading license disclaimers, and
includes a copy of the LGPL license.

Some have software written in Ada.

I've heard sometimes the software is written in other
languages, then translated into Ada.

The GNU Ada implementation is called "GNATS", and the FSF's
stewardship of Ada has been instrumental in its development
for gov't applications.
