Kudos to Palemoon, the independent FOSS browser that continues
to be developed.

Now I can't access my bank with Palemoon (although I could until
recently) and I can't access some major commercial and news sites.

But who the fuck cares? Those fucking grubbers just want to drape
several simplistic paragraphs with a barrage of fucking ads. Fuck
them.

For browsing the non-commercial web Palemoon is unparalleled.

For the occasional jaunt into commercial hell, just copy and
paste into "links -g."

With FOSS (and GNU/Linux) there is no need to be chained to
the Web 2/3 bullshit.

But all the phonies on C.O.L.A. only use their machines to access
Gmail and view Netflix.

To be fair, that is no excuse for this shit browser. These goofballs are
writing a browser that might have worked 20 years ago, but has no hope of

That's the only issue. The web site, and not the browser,
is at fault.

I used to do my Kroger grocery shopping with Palemoon, but
Kroger changed their web site design and now Palemoon no
longer works. The same happened with on-line banking.

The commercial web is experiencing a sickening race to
the bottom.

But I seldom partake of the commercial web. Palemoon works
very well with the traditional informational web sites.

Any site that does not work with Palemoon is a site that
is not worth visiting.

So, the browser isn't up to date, and it's the Web sites' fault for
expecting it to be. Great advocacy of Linux, dude. I'm sure a

I have built web sites that involved the secure exchange of information and
the crypto back end is the same as it has been for decades.

It's the javascript manipulation of the DOM and whatever else these script
monkeys do to dazzle the visitor that will break Palemoon.

Palemoon is a great effort that brings an alternative browser to a world
dominated almost entirely by Google. For this reason everyone should use
and support it.

When I browse I use only the Palemoon/"Links -g" combination. It is
amazing to experience "links -g" and see those pages load almost
instantaneously. Without javascipt the web returns to its glory years.

I repeat the obvious: the web and not Palemoon is the problem.

It's true, COLA is the real warboard so to speak, those of us who

Any site that works with Palemoon would probably work with lynx too. Maybe
you can find a site using Flash or Java Applets that still are supported.
I can't help you. I used to have an applet that calculated rpm versus
speed for various Harleys but it's long gone.

I'm mostly on the tech subreddits and there aren't any twats. I sometimes
look at the duolingo one for laughs. I've been brushing up my Spanish so I

The local one has its moments too. What's the SWAT team doing at Reserve
and Third? Where is the best dispensary? Oh, fuck, they're building

The dope shops are getting out of hand. Capitalism 101 says most of them
must be starving. I'm not into the scene but I do have it on good
authority the real stoners are buying it from the same people they always
bought it from and not paying the 23% sales tax.

Walmart has a rather low bar... It's my store of last resort and I go
there about once a year. The town is outdoorsy and most people are in
reasonably good shape; the ones that aren't are in Walmart buying Doritos
and COke.
