There's probably some reason for this freebie: to celebrate the
release of some new game, as part of a mid-winter sale, or simply
because the moon hasn't exploded, who knows? I don't know, and I don't
care. The game is free, and it's good, and that's all I need.

Admittedly, the game is aging; its visuals aren't
quite as impressive as they once were, its
destroy-your-car gimmick not quite as novel, and
its overall attitude screams 'early 2000s'. It's
still a fun game, and watching your car disintegrate
beneath you as you carelessly race around the tracks
never gets old. The sequels were technically
superior, but this classic still is my favorite
because it felt so fresh. I'm happy to add yet
another copy to my library.

You have a full week to grab this one... but you won't need that long,
I'm sure.
