We're finally getting the 'GOTY' version of Cyberpunk 2077 that I'm
sure many people have been waiting for. After all, why bother buying
games piecemeal when - if you just wait long enough - you can get the
whole game all in one package?

I already own the base game (I haven't purchased the DLC), and - since
I just played it recently and wasn't wowed by it, I'm in no rush to
get the Ultimate Edition. But eventually, when it drops in price, I'll
grab it, I'm sure.

There is one new feature - fortunately not exclusive to the Ultimate
Edition - that I am really interested in: finally, the game gets a
working metro system! Well, that's assuming it is not just a glorified
fast-travel system (e.g., hit use button at one station, game fades
out and then you magically appear at your destination). I want to RIDE
the rails... especially if the metro goes above ground.

The number of times I've installed GTA3 or GTA4 /just/ so I could
watch my avatar (and his train!) chug through the city, I can't tell
you. It's like having a hyper-detailed model-train set... without
needing to give up all that floor space! ;-)

Exactly. I hate playing a game knowing full well it isn't finished yet
and more content is going to be released for it. I will wait for the
FULL version.

I completely understand this. You don't want to be teleported from
here to there. You want to *travel* from here to there. I loved
getting on a griffon in WOW back in the day and watching the world fly
by below me. It was a really cool experience at the time.

Since I was always a fan of G-scale, I'd need a pretty hefty winch ;-)

(most American sets are O-scale, approx 1:43. A locomotive is about 1"
high and 3" long. G-scale is 1:19; a locomotive is about 8" high and
18" long. A single train in G-scale can be several meters in length.
Even packed away in boxes, an average train set can take up a good
sized room ;-)

Well they do make strong winches, although it might look a bit Dr
Frankenstein in there.

And finally a use for rooms with 12" or higher ceilings.
