I've just finished setting up eternal-september for selected groups.

It is slower than my Supernews account. As it is a free service, how can
I distinguish between "normal" and "experiencing a problem to worth
investigating"?

I've been around long enough to know it's courteous to post "tests" to a
group intended for that. I didn't expect how many existed. Is there a
suggested group to use?

Thinking about it some more, there is one "function" that group does not
cover - the ability to post to a group not called
"eternal-september.{something}".
Look at Server Settings for the account and make sure you have "Always
request authentication when connecting to this server" active.

I had covered that by using eternal-september to post this thread.
