Actually, the site uses a captcha service that requires javascript to beat,
which means I am nto even bothering. Thanks for the warning though.

actually quite good.

It's the home page www.ranum.com that looks totally out of place

Hmmm... I didn't have to enter a captcha. But I just have an
adblocker enabled. Maybe that did the trick?

BTW.. Is your system with our original pgp credentials working
yet? It seems that you were able to decrypt the ProtonMail
version of my messages using your key.

Yeah, my mailing system is in working order once again :-)

Taking it back was a bit of an adventure. It involved some computer suffering
spontaneous combustion and needed some spare parts.

Thank you very much.

Point 1 reminded me immediately of OpenBSD's pledge() and unveil() syscalls, which are
explicitly designed to prevent trustworthy programs from doing unexpected things.
Linux has been advancing in that field too with seccompand such, letting programs drop
privileges so they are less abusable.
