My issue with X not working any more not having resolved,
I had an additional bootable partition installed with 13.2
from the DVD,but attempting to select that HDD from the
UEFI menu nonetheless results in booting from the SSD and
its 13.2-RELEASE-p10.

What might be causing this bypass of the menu choice?
Is there a level that discriminates between BSD partitions?
(Selecting an Ubuntu partition on the other HDD works fine).

Apparently the bootable partitions here are not recognized
by the UEFI BIOS of my ASUS P8Z77 motherboard as bootable and
eligible for its boot menu,though the disk itself is?

I have two ideas of what could be wrong. Either you aren't managing to
boot the drive you think you are booting or the loader, the first
stage of the boot process, finds the wrong drive to get /boot from.

In the drive listing you posted, I can't see any EFI partition. If you
are trying to EFI boot, you should have a partition with the EFI GPT
label. In the EFI partition, you should have the EFI loader, for
freebsd, the path is efi/freebsd/loader.efi by default. This is the
file that your EFI boot entry should load and execute.

Unfortunately I don't have much experience with several FreeBSD in the
same computer so I don't really know what to do if the loader is
picking the wrong disk. One suggestion I can think of is to
temporarily disconnect the drive you don't want booted.
