For me, www.forteinc.com resolves to 54.221.164.201 or 44.207.132.145

Do you see something else? Like what? What makes you say that ping is
redirecting to another company? (Asking because it's actually not possible, but
you may be seeing something interesting.)

Oh. Oh, dear. I really am going senile. Please see below.

Yes, yes, yes!

That is where I fiddled with the settings in IE11 many years back. I
had just not made the connection this time.

Sorry.

IE brings up that panel when you change things. It really is
integrated - *was* integrated - deeply into the system. I'm sad that I
didn't remember this.

Yes, well, I've set everything as the good Paul recommends. Thank you
for all your help, everyone.

I wish I could blame the mental lapse on something else but it was
simply too many days, weeks and years of not keeping my mental
pictures refreshed.

I feel like an idiot. :)

I can reach those two when I use the numbers instead of DNS-ing the
name but they return blank pages.

It's me, not Forteinc.com who is the problem. Sorry.

It's possible. Just unlikely and annoying. And not the least bit
interesting.

It was an age-restricted thing in one of the "security" things
running in the background. Nothing to do with Forté nor their website.
That's what I get for trying to be helpful.

Sorry to waste everyone's time, efforts and brain-powers.

I'm turning into my sister. :(
